Carlo Contrino
Psychology & Humanities Teacher
Carlo Contrino joined us from Redruth School in Cornwall, UK. He holds a BA in English with Media Studies from the Combined Universities in Cornwall, an MA in English Professional Writing from Falmouth School of Arts, a PGCE in Post-Compulsory Education from Cornwall College, and an MSc in Psychology from the University of Roehampton. Carlo has been teaching for 18 years, specialising in Psychology, Criminology, and Sociology.
Carlo has held leadership roles, including Lead Teacher of Psychology at Fullbrook School and KS3 Humanities Lead and E-safety Officer at Ormiston Denes Academy. At Sir John Leman High School, he was instrumental in teaching A-level Psychology and Sociology and was a staff governor. Additionally, Carlo has experience in marking A-level and GCSE exams for major UK exam boards, ensuring high standards of assessment.
Beyond the classroom, Carlo enjoys physical activities such as running, swimming, and hiking. He is an amateur historian, attending talks on local history, and enjoys dabbling in painting and art.
