Claire Caunce

Year 3 Teacher

Claire Caunce joined us from teaching at a school in the Highlands of Scotland. She qualified from the University of Manchester with a BA (hons) degree in Archaeology and went on to gain a MEd in Applied Linguistics and language teaching pedagogy from The University of the West of Scotland, and a PGDE from Strathclyde University.

Claire has taught a range of ages and stages in primary school from Reception to Year 6 in Scotland over the past 4 years. In her previous post, she was the Modern Foreign language and EAL leader, and taught French, Scottish Gaelic, and Mandarin across the school.

Outside of the classroom, Claire enjoys reading, cooking, knitting, going to concerts, galleries, and museums, as well as learning languages. She is looking forward to exploring Korea, and learning more of the language.
