Sports

Sport is very much part of our curriculum at Dulwich College Seoul. Engagement in sport not only aids our students’ physical development, improving their coordination and developing their skills in a variety of sports, but also helps them to learn how to be part of a team.

Through sporting competition we encourage leadership and emphasise the value of sportsmanship. We believe it is important that our students experience and celebrate success and, equally, learn how to lose a match or tournament with grace. Students from our College compete against others across the Dulwich College International family of schools in the Dulwich Games. We also participated in the very first Dulwich Olympiad, a large-scale competition and opportunity for collaboration that will take place every four years. The next Dulwich Olympiad will be hosted in London by Dulwich College in 2019, when students from all Dulwich College International schools will have the opportunity to participate in the founding College’s quadricentennial celebrations.

Our students also participate in a number of prestigious sporting events with other international schools from across Asia, and have the opportunity to travel with their teams to compete. We host many sporting competitions through our membership in school associations, including the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA), Korean International Schools Activities Conference (KISAC) and Korean-American Interscholastic Activities Conference (KAIAC).

Our talented athletes are encouraged to join team practices during their after-school activities to hone their individual and team skills.
