The Senior School Theatre production this year is taking a big twist. After the success of “Oliver Twist” last year, we have decided to take a very different approach to making theatre. The students have formed a company, which includes writers, researchers, actors, designers and directors. We have all started the play from scratch. The researchers and writers are currently interviewing people over the age of 65 about their memories and stories from their past. The stories will form the script for the play that will be performed in February. The students and I are already learning so much from listening to the stories of people from Korea, Singapore and Poland. We would love to talk to as many people as possible from our community so if you have a friend or relative over 65 years old, please contact me to arrange a time for them to visit or to record their stories at home.
