Lauren Backhouse
Year 4 Leader
Lauren joined us from Ecuador where she was a Year 4 teacher and Curriculum Lead. She qualified as a teacher in 2012 after completing her PGCE at London Metropolitan University and spent 4 years teaching in London before moving to South America. She has experience teaching in Year 2-Year 6 and has previously been a Literacy Coordinator before taking on a wider leadership position looking across all curriculum areas as well as writing and implementing a new curriculum for her school in Ecuador. She is currently completing an MA in Education with the University of Glasgow. Outside of the classroom, Lauren enjoys camping, reading and yoga. She will be joining us with her husband, Juan, and her dog, Molly.
