Geography Teacher / SS Sustainability Leader
Alexander Veness is a Geography specialist. He moved to Dulwich College Seoul from one of our partner schools, Dulwich College Suzhou in China. He graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a BA (Hons) in Urban Studies and then spent time volunteering in Asia and South America, gaining experience in community development. After returning to the UK, Alexander completed his Postgraduate Certificate in Education at Manchester Metropolitan University as a Geography Teacher. He has taught Geography to students aged 11 to 19 for the past eight years with a particular focus on IGCSE, A Level and IB courses. Alexander has held several roles including Head of Department, Curriculum Coordinator and pastoral responsibilities. Outside the classroom, Alexander has a keen interest in global events and current affairs and seeks to nurture student engagement and analysis of these through debate, research, initiatives such as the Student Council and student-led action. He also interested in photojournalism, cooking and woodcraft. Alexander moved to Seoul with his wife.
