Deputy Head of Primary (Academic)

Andrew Polwarth joined us from the British International School Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. Completing his BSc in Infection Biology at the University of Glasgow in 2007, he went on to study primary education, finishing his PGDE in 2010 at the University of Strathclyde. Andrew has also completed his NPQSL qualification with Leeds Beckett University in 2018. He has taught in Scotland, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, working across all year groups for 3 years as Deputy Head, Andrew has led whole school curriculum & assessment developments and headed up pastoral care. His pastoral experience is extensive, working at summer camps in the USA and Canada for 10 years and was the child protection officer at his last school. Andrew is a UKCC Level 4 registered tennis coach with 15 years’ experience and holds a level one SFA football coaching qualification. He played tennis at University and likes to play football, badminton, squash, and is an avid gym goer.
