Vera started playing the cello at the age of six and music has been a main focus for all of her life. She graduated at the Bela Bartok Conservatory in Budapest and achieved her degree as a cello teacher and performing chamber musician at the Szechenyi Istvan University Art Faculty in Hungary. She qualified as a Primary Music teacher at the University of Buckingham, England. She started teaching classroom Music at the British School of Beijing and later became Head of Music at their Sanlitun campus. Vera has a passion for offering musical opportunities for children with a wide range of abilities and has established a number of vocal and instrumental groups. She is married to a master chef and is a proud mother of two young children. Teaching has never stopped her being an active musician and she regularly plays the cello with chamber groups and orchestras outside school.
