A Word from Their Teachers

Carlo Contrino
I was so happy for Ella when I heard she finished first in Korea for History. The result reflects her diligence; she reads attentively, thinks before she writes, and holds the whole picture in view. In her study of Roosevelt’s America or the uneasy balance of Weimar, she showed both breadth and real flair. A remarkable Historian and one with few peers in my years of teaching the subject. It is a distinction earned and not bestowed.

Robert Wise
Kunho’s achievement in Spanish is a testament to his dedication. This did not start at the beginning of the IGCSE course in Year 10, but when he first started learning Spanish in Year 8. Throughout the two-year IGCSE course, Kunho consistently strove towards producing more complex Spanish and regularly sought feedback. His result, of ‘Highest mark in Republic of Korea’, is a demonstration of not only language talent, but of perseverance, drive, and an unwavering commitment to aim higher.
