International Day

On Friday 26 October we had our annual Dulwich College International Day. It was a wonderful event for the whole community that involved food tasters from 23 countries from around the world (Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Philippines, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Thailand, The Netherlands, UK, USA, Venezuela).

The parents were involved in providing delicious savoury and sweet snacks which the children really loved. In the Primary School classrooms children engaged in craft activities, learning new language skills and geographical map work. The afternoon culminated in a Primary School Assembly with a Senior School Samba leading a festive flag parade into the gym, to show off the 40 nationalities within school. The music department hosted year group choral performances from yodels to traditional folk songs. Families also gathered together to choreograph flamboyant group dances from South America, Bollywood dances from India, traditional string instrumental performances from Korea and a traditional Thai song.
