Mark Goodwin
Head of European Languages (Spanish)
Mark Goodwin joined us from Merchant Taylors' Boys' School in Liverpool, UK, where he was formerly Head of MFL and later Head of Sixth Form. Mark's academic journey began with a BA in Modern Languages and European Film Studies at the University of Liverpool, immediately followed by a PGCE in MFL at the University of Manchester. Since then, Mark has led Spanish departments and MFL faculties in various schools in England. After completing a part-time MA in Education at Edge Hill University, specialising in maximising motivation in the MFL classroom, Mark embarked on a part-time PhD in Spanish at the University of Manchester. Mark's doctorate focuses on one of his core passions: international cinema. Besides academics, Mark is a keen sportsman and enjoys travelling, theatre, and dining out.
