The Dulwich Difference – University and Careers Counselling

When families choose which school to send their children to, the opportunities available after graduation immensely affect that decision. Our University and Careers Counselling (UCC) Team is an integral part of the Dulwich Difference which supports your children on not only progressing to their next steps but succeeding once there.

Kyndra Douglass, Director of University and Careers Counselling
Kyndra brings wide-ranging international experience from the United States, Shanghai, and Budapest. She holds degrees in Global Studies and International Higher Education, alongside specialist training in international college advising. Her work focuses on guiding students towards best-fit university pathways.

Joanne Kim, University Counsellor
Joanne has been a valued member of the Dulwich College Seoul community since 2010. With a background in Additional Educational Needs, she supports students in navigating academic choices and future career directions with empathy and deep insight.
Graduate Worldwise
Our students enrol in universities around the world and our UCC Team understands the requirements and applications of these institutions. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IPDP) is the perfect high school curriculum to prepare students for university success, as it develops the critical thinking and independence needed for the future. We follow a “best fit” counselling approach to ensure students earn offers to their best universities while family needs are met.

Supporting your child’s entire journey
Our Roadmap to University highlights how the UCC Team engages with and guides students each year. From reflecting on interests, investigating career demands of the future, finalizing university lists, to completing university applications, we are there every step.

Beyond the classroom
In Term 1, over 80 universities visited DCSL to meet our students because they know that Dulwich graduates succeed in higher education. We also hosted several parent workshops alongside universities including Columbia, UCL, National University of Singapore, and UCLA. Our connections with university admissions teams means Dulwich students can be highlighted in admissions reviews.
