Ffiona Wilkinson

Learning Support Teacher

Born in Hong Kong, Ffiona attended international schools until the age of 13 before continuing her education at boarding school in Ireland. She later earned an MA in English Literature and Art History from the University of St Andrews. Her dedication to teaching led her to complete the CELTA qualification in London and later specialise in the Orton-Gillingham Method. She founded Articulate Learners in Hong Kong, a service created to support schools, families, and individuals with literacy learning difficulties. Though she stepped away from the organisation after relocating to Seoul, it developed her ability to successfully navigate student support organisations, schools, and families to ensure the best outcome for each individual student. Ffiona consolidated her love of classroom teaching through the PGCEi programme with the University of Sunderland. She has taught English at both Dulwich College Seoul and Seoul Foreign School, and is looking forward to her new role as Whole College Learning Support, where she can fuse together her expertise in inclusive education with her love of literacy and communication. When not at work, you could find her reading, listening to music and podcasts, hiking, or exploring Seoul with her husband and two daughters. She especially loves rollerblading with Phoebe and Margarita and is still in the process of learning Spanish, although they are overtaking her quickly.
