Lara Small
Primary School Teacher
Lara Small joins us from the British School Jakarta, Indonesia, where she was Head of Early Years. In this role, she trained new teachers in the department and led an inquiry-based learning project for KS2 children. Before her time in Jakarta, she spent seven years teaching in the UK, holding various roles such as Assistant Head Teacher and Early Years Consultant. She has over 18 years of experience teaching children from Nursery to Year One. She graduated from the University of Plymouth with a Bachelor of Arts in Primary Education and holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Management from the University of Bath. Lara has a passion for nature and is a trained Forest School practitioner, with experience in running and setting up her own Forest School. In her free time, she enjoys reading, travelling, and trying new cuisines.
