Lauren Short
Primary School Teacher
Lauren Short joined us from Harrow Beijing, where she worked for three years as a Year 3 class teacher. During this time, Lauren was also the Topic and Digital Literacy Coordinator, leading both subjects across the Lower School, ensuring a high standard of teaching and learning, leading CPD, and impacting whole school curriculum and policies. Before this, she taught in Dubai for two years, taking on the role of English Coordinator there. She qualified from Cardiff University, continued to do her PGCE, and later gained her Master’s degree in Education Policy and Practice. She has also completed several additional CPD and training courses, including FA school training and a HarvardX course focusing on child protection. Lauren coaches girls' football, and her teams have been successful in both domestic and international tournaments, including FOBISIA. Outside the classroom, Lauren enjoys exploring new cultures, getting lost in books, and relaxing in scenic places. She hopes to learn a lot about Korea, sample plenty of local food, and become confident in the language.
