Earth Day 2021
This morning at 11am sharp, the following message was broadcast over the school intercom system:
Good Morning Dulwich,
This is Mr Readman, Assistant Head of Senior School.
Today is Earth Day. Thank you for wearing blue in support of ocean awareness.
The world's oceans are now facing a multidimensional crisis, of which human-made climate change, overfishing, plastic pollution and ocean acidification are all factors. There is an urgent need to step up our efforts to protect the marine environment by averting this crisis.
For the next hour please turn off the lights in your classrooms and offices to show our commitment to improving sustainability, and that we can all play a part in reducing energy consumption.
