We held our second Dulwich Talk, featuring parent and serial entrepreneur John Suh, former CEO of LegalZoom in the US. John spoke about the traits that make a successful entrepreneur. Some notable quotes include, “perfectionists make bad entrepreneurs,” because entrepreneurs need to start small with an imperfect prototype before improving it with successive iterations. He redefines failures as learning experiences. To nurture entrepreneurship, “let them fall and figure things out, take responsibility for their actions,” he said. It was one of the most insightful and well-delivered talks I’ve had the pleasure of attending recently and I thank Mr Suh and all the parents who came out for their time.
